Park
At 100 meters from Ostal Grinta is the park of Malaucène with a fishing pond, bmx park, skate park, soccer field, tennis courts, basketball court, fit-o-meter, playgrounds for the little ones, picnic tables ...
The shortest way to the town center is through this park.
Events are often organized in the large car park next to the football field: flea market, circus, performances, fireworks, start of sporting events such as Ventoux climbs, press village on stage arrival Tour de France ...
Restaurants
Malaucène is not big, but there are many dining options and there is a lot of variety. Best to book in advance, even out of season. And all this at a 10-minute walk from Ostal Grinta. Of course there are also many cozy addresses in the surrounding villages.
We often go back to L'Atelier de la Ferme, Chez Laurette, Pizza Flash (food truck), L'Abri du Ventoux, Le Pont De l'Orme ...
Tasting Wine
Of course, good food also includes a nice glass of wine. You can go wine tasting at the many local domains in the region, but you can also visit the wine bar in the town center of Malaucène Au fil de la dégustation.
Shops
In Malaucène everything revolves around the bicycle. There are three or four places where you can rent, buy and repair bicycles. There is also no shortage of bicycle accessories and equipment.
There are also 3 bakeries, a butcher, a supermarket, a fruit and vegetable shop, a newsagent, bookshop, trinkets shop, boutique ...
For large supermarkets (super-U, Intermarché, Lidl, Aldi), chain stores (Intersport, Brico, McDonalds) you drive to Vaison-La Romaine (approx. 10 minutes). Ikea, Decathlon, Leroy Merlin are about a 40-minute drive away in Le Pontet near Avignon.
Wellness
The French come to relax from far and wide at Spa Ventoux Provence.
An ideal plan for your holiday. Let yourself be pampered: different types of saunas and steam baths, massages, body care, fitness. There is also a restaurant: Hangar N°1.
Belvedère
A must during your holiday: a walk of about 15 minutes to the top of Malaucène. A short, steep climb over cobblestones, and then the Stations of the Cross have yet to begin. At the top you will be rewarded with a beautiful view all around. Find Ostal Grinta!

Mont Ventoux
The main tourist attraction in the area. A phenomenon in every season. The bald mountain rarely disappoints.

Please note that the summit is closed to all traffic in winter, from mid-November to April/May. Check the mountain's website for all information, including winter tires and snow chains.

Leisure park on Mont Ventoux with skiing fun in winter, electric scooters, go-karts, ...
Crestet
Beautifully situated on top of a ridge and well worth the climb. Don't expect commercialism like in many cute villages.
Entrechaux
Medieval castle and fire spectacle: top combination. Entrechaux lives in summer.
Vaison-La-Romaine
The Romans were here!
This is the largest antique site in France.
There's loads to see and Vaison is close by so you can spread your visit over two days. No rush! Enthusiasts know, of course, that there is much more to see from the Romans in Provence: Orange, Nîmes, Pont-du-Gard, Glanum, Arles. All within 1.5 hours drive from Ostal Grinta.
Parc Spirou
Marsupilami's, Lucky Luke, the Daltons and Spirou less than half an hour away. With the wind in your hair in a roller coaster. Sounds good on a hot summer day.
